People use coaching when they want help to change or accomplish an important and often challenging goal. The coaching relationship is a collaborative, co-created relationship between equal partners, the coach and client.
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
-Mary Oliver
The coaching process focuses exclusively on what you need in order to take action to achieve your goals. Sometimes that will include discussion on what has and hasn’t worked in the past, beliefs or feelings that might get in your way, exploration of where you want to go, as well as planning reasonable steps.
Coaching goals vary from personal development i.e. wanting more happiness or improving health to achieving professional benchmarks.
When coaching, I am active and focused. I bring practical tools, skillful listening, honesty, accountability, and side-by-side companionship to you while you navigate your situation.
I use a strengths-based, positive psychology approach to achieve change. I believe that you have within you all the strengths, abilities, and resources needed to reach your goal. My job is to help you draw on your strengths and discover strengths not yet known.
Coaching is done remotely by phone or Skype.
I would love to talk to you about your particular situation and how you might benefit from coaching.
